Benjamin H.J. Barnhard June 18, 1998 - August 3, 2011

Our dear Ben was taken from us tragically on August 3, 2011 at his home in Kensington, Maryland.  He is survived by his father, Jamie; grandmother, Ruby; and his two uncles, Dale and Gary Barnhard.  Ben was home for the summer from Wellspring Academy in North Carolina where he achieved all of the goals set for his weight loss program and academics. In lieu of flowers, contributions to a memorial fund for Ben can be made to the Chewonki Foundation, 485 Chewonki Neck Road, Wiscasset, Maine, 04578 The Chewonki Foundation is an Environmental Education Center that focuses on Earth and Ocean Sciences, Summer Camp, Wildlife Rehabilitation and a Maine Coast Semester Program.  Chewonki was a  place that Ben loved dearly. There is a little piece Ben's heart that will always remain at Chewonki and in Boothbay Harbor Maine.
